Privacy Policy

1. What we collect.
Account information (name, email, training stage, program or school details you provide); the materials you submit for services (such as personal statements or CVs); messages you send on the platform; and request details. Payment cards are collected and stored by Stripe, our payment processor; Preround never sees or stores your full card number.
2. Cookies.
We use cookies for a small number of purposes. Authentication cookies keep you signed in and are required for the platform to work. One first-party cookie, pr_vid, records how you found us when you arrive from an ad or a campaign link, so we can tell which ads and referrals bring people to Preround; it holds a random identifier, is readable only by our servers, and lasts up to two years. We also use site analytics to measure page views. Our public pages load the Meta advertising pixel, which sets cookies and tells Meta that a browser visited the page, so that we can measure and target our advertising. It does not load on signed-in pages, so what you do inside the platform is not sent to Meta. You can clear or block cookies in your browser at any time, though signing in will not work without the authentication ones.
3. How we use it.
To match you with mentors, deliver the services you request, process payments, send transactional emails (confirmations, reminders, receipts), measure which ads and referrals bring people to Preround, and improve the platform. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your application materials for anything other than delivering your service. We also send occasional marketing email, which is separate from transactional email. You can opt out from the link in any marketing message or from your account settings.
4. Who sees it.
Your matched mentor sees what is needed to deliver your service (your request details and the materials you share). Our service providers process data on our behalf: Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Vercel (hosting and site analytics), and Meta (advertising measurement on our public pages). We may disclose information if required by law.
5. Retention and deletion.
We keep your data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and data at support@preround.app.
6. Security.
Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted by role, and payment data is handled entirely by Stripe.
7. Age.
Preround is for users 18 and older.
